Cleaning a probe with the StyliCleaner® is started as soon as the probe moves past the motion sensor. From the moment of activation, air will be blown to the cleaning unit for 20 seconds. During the first 10 seconds, a cleaning liquid will be added to the compressed air. During the last 10 seconds, only dry air will be blown onto the probe.
This means that the measuring pin will always be dry after cleaning. While cleaning the measuring pin, it must make a number of movements. The zero point for the indicated displacements is located at the top and in the heart of the cleaning unit. Cleaning of the measuring pin takes place 13mm below the top of the cleaning unit.
